We are working with a client in East London / Essex looking to recruit an experienced Paramedic to work in an exciting new practice based role undertaking general medial services supporting the PCN services.
You will be working within a primary care setting as part of a multi-disciplinary team, bringing your urgent care skills to provide acute care, triage, home visits and support for long term conditions and urgent situations enhancing the responsiveness and flexibility of the primary care service.
You will be working as an autonomous accountable paramedic providing holistic approach to patients, to assess, diagnose, treat, refer or signpost patients with undifferentiated or undiagnosed conditions using your advanced clinical skills.

Their primary role is the delivery of highest quality, bespoke healthcare In and Out of Hours appointments and to operate a local walk in the centres based East London / Essex.
They provide a wide range of Primary Medical Services under both NHS and independent arrangement, all of which apply evidence-based medical standards as established by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.
Their goal is to provide high quality, effective treatment and advice in safe surroundings and to make the patients visit to us as comfortable and productive as possible.
The PCN is looking to employ a Paramedics in each of their practices, and will be joining a team of existing Paramedics.

About the role:
As a Primary Care Paramedic, you will be offered a supported CPD and learning programme offering prescriber training as required.
You will responsible for the provision of a clinical service, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to patients. You will be required to work autonomously in the practice, providing a range of services such as assessment, diagnosis, treatment, telephone triage, clinical decision-making and referring patients appropriately, as well as supporting the management team in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure when required.
You will deliver a high standard of patient care with in depth theoretical knowledge and evidence-based practice and to manage a clinical caseload and deal with presenting patient’s needs in a primary care setting. Patient care will delivered face to face, by telephone and remote services as well as participation in the home visiting, duty and triage rotas.
About You:
You will have at least two years post qualifying experience as a paramedic and ideally some experience or working in primary care with a strong commitment to working in general practice. You will motivated by delivering high quality patient care and see team work as a part of your DNA. You will hungry to learn and commit to education, personal development and supporting others.
You may be interested in developing a sub-speciality interest within general practice which the practice group will support and encourage. You will be keen to develop your professional network to encourage best practice and increase awareness of new developments connected to primary care.
The essentials:
- BSc / Foundation in paramedic science.
- Minimum two years post qualifying experience
- Committed to working in general practice.
- You will be fully registered with the HCPC
- You will have a UK Right to Work
- Evidence of Continued professional development

- Independent prescriber certification
- Accredited training in chronic disease management
